Experience

• Khuen Wee has been practicing corporate and commercial law since 1995. He is involved in strategic legal advisory work, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, cross-border transactions and corporate finance law for both traditional and new economy companies.
• He has extensive experience advising MNCs and Malaysian companies in diverse sectors such as retail, media, pharmaceutical, energy, environmental sciences, logistic, fund and asset management companies, hospitals and medical service providers, investment banks, insurance, manufacturing, and technology firms.
• He has delivered cross-border investment and transactional experiences in the Asian, China, European and American context.
• He was formerly general counsel at a global e-business and travel technology group of companies where he was responsible for legal, corporate and investment functions. He led the legal team to complete a USD10 million funding round in 2001.
• He has completed various IPO exercises as well as schemes of arrangement and other restructuring exercises of public listed companies.
• He heads the technology law practice for ROZLAN KHUEN. ROZLAN KHUEN has been extensively involved with tech start-ups and venture capital / private equity investments work since its inception in 2004.

Experience

• Malcolm was born in Kuching, East Malaysia and educated at St. Joseph's School, Kuching.
• He was a formerly a credit and legal officer at a large Malaysian bank prior to commencing law practice where he garnered experience in loan recovery, banking law, credit analysis, loan documentation and business evaluation, and feasibility studies.
• He has extensive litigation experience since 1994 and has conducted interlocutory proceedings, complex trials, appeals and applications at all levels of the Malaysian Courts.
• He is also experienced with arbitration proceedings.
• As part of his corporate law practice experience, he was involved in various industry sectors such as Technology, Oil and Gas, Hydro and Water Projects, Engineering and Construction, Security, Automotive, Franchises and Venture Capital.
• He is active in due diligence exercises, corporate exercises, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets related work.
• In addition to being a corporate and commercial practitioner, he oversees the banking, financing and property related work practie.
